Ricochet Shot
This ability allows the Judge to make use of ricochets
to hit targets that are out of his direct line of fire. As the name implies, the Judge gains the skill to
accurately ricochet a GP round off one or more surfaces before it achieves it's objective. For each surface that
the round must impact before the final target, 10% is subtracted from the Judge's CS; if a Rubber Ricochet
round is used, then the penalty is 5% per surface. In
addition, due to the Judge's superior trigonometric and spatial perception, the chance of hitting within
the normal usage of an RR round is raised to three-times
wild-fire, instead of the usual double wild-fire chance.
For example: Judge Cotton has found himself in a
hostage situation at the Sector Councilhouses, where
known anarchist Goy Fawlks has a quin-barrelled
rasterblaster against Sector Councilman Skynnyrd's head
and is using him as a shield. Complying with Fawlks'
demand to lower his weapon, Cotton flips the ammo
selector on his Lawgiver to Rubber Ricochet and points
the barrel at the floor, while quickly calculating the
ballistics of the situation (Cotton wants to bounce the
round off the floor, the right wall and the ceiling
before it hits Fawlks; CS of 65 - 15 (5% for Rubber
Ricochet x three surfaces) = 40). Fawlks, emboldened by
his sense of power, opens his mouth to make another
demand when Cotton's Lawgiver fires. The bullet spangs
off the floor, wall and ceiling (Cotton rolled 32) and
hits Fawlks neatly in the back of his head.
