Attention!  We've got some new Badges here today, fresh out of the Academy, as well as a few incoming transfers. Welcome to the Sector, people. I'm Ashmore, Commander of A-Watch, and while you're under my command you'll do your job to the best of your ability, and beyond. Screw up and I'll make you wish the SJS had gotten to you first. Enough talk, let's get on with the briefing...

STATUS: PRIORITY

+++  item  +++
APB: CHARLEMAGNE

Wanted for datatheft, running an illegal vid-site and treason, Mark Cummins aka Charlemagne. Contact Tech-Div and SJS immediately if any leads come up.

"This creep has found some way to access restricted MAC and Barney data. He'd set up some pirate vid-site and was broadcasting Justice Dept. classified info on open channels. Tech-Div has shut down four sites so far, but he may have more of them out there. SJS wants to have a word with him. Somebody out there knows where he is, so get your narks onto it and find him!"

STATUS: RED

+++  item  +++
T-RED

Latest drug busts indicate that T-Red is gaining a definite foothold in the Sector. Narcotic makes users aggressive and unpredictable, with a high pain threshold. Approach with caution. Chris Halliday aka Doctor TOC is suspected to be the Sector to supervise T-Red production.

"This TOC geek is bad news. He's been linked to T-Red synth-labs, illegal arms trading and is suspected to be behind last week's break-in at the Sector 138 Chrono-Temp Labs. Wally Squad thinks he may also be working for the Overbosses, running some kind of think-tank. He may be an ex-pat Brit-Citter, so check out the Brit-Cit and Little Cal-Hab communities for leads. This creep fancies himself as some kind of 'Napolean of Crime' and he's embarrassed the Dept. in the past. If he's in my Sector, I want this drokker found yesterday!"

STATUS: AMBER

+++  item  +++
PSYCHOPATH RECRUITMENT

Be on the lookout for Brit-Cit citizen Ryan Blake. Blake has recruited seven MC1 ex-iso block inmates with space experience and severe mental disturbances and shipped them offworld. Report any info to Wally Squad for follow-up.

"This geek has recruited some real psychos and bought them tickets offworld. Normally they'd be someone else's problem now, but Blake's got our interest with this recruitment drive and we want to know what he's up to. He's thought to be in Sector 235 at present, but word on the street is he may be heading our way. If he does turn up, don't approach, let the Wallys know and they'll handle him. He hasn't broken the law yet, but if he does treat him like any other perp."

STATUS: GREEN

+++  item  +++
MEGA-CITY TOURS

Mega-City Tours (proprietor Will 'Critter' Crites), suspected of perp-running and currently under PSU surveillance. Do not approach unless direct evidence of crime is apparent.

"We don't know exactly what Crites' game is, he's checked out lie detectors and blitzes, though Psi-Div, with their usual searing insight, has reported 'something odd' about him. Still, we're pretty sure he's dirty; PSU is keeping an eye on him so if you find out anything call it in. He sooner we get him off the streets, the better."

STATUS: NORMAL

+++  item  +++
MECHANISMO PROJECT

A Tech-Div reminder that Judge Matt Sharp's  analysis of the Mechanismo Project is available for review at a terminal near you.

"A new round of Equipment and Technology Reviews is coming up. If you know what's good for you, you'll attend Sharp's briefings and get up to speed on the tech."

+++  item  +++
COLT WIDOWMAKERS

New batch of Colt 3000s has arrived at the Armoury. Units assigned to riot standby to collect weapons ASAP.

"Tension between Warren Zevon and M.C. Escher blocks is still high. Those of you on riot duty, get your Widowmakers from stores after the briefing and assemble in H-bay 15 for deployment."

+++  item  +++
LAWGIVER MK.11

Judges selected for field test of revised Lawgiver Mk.11 are required to review weapon technical specs before reporting to Firing Range G2 for initial training at 03H00.

"This is the one you've been waiting for; we been selected as a field test Sector for the new Mk.11. Now, some of you had a bad experience with this weapon during the Second Robot Wars, but Tech claims the Mk.11 is now completely safe. To us, anyway. Those of you on the field test list have already been notified; the rest of you will have to wait."

+++  item  +++
CASE HISTORY REVIEWS

Reminder to all Judges new to the Sector of mandatory local case reviews. Starting 22H30, report to Judges Winter and Scolaski in Briefing Room 5.

"Sector policy is that new Badges are required to review Sector case histories. You may think this is just a waste of time, but it'll probably save your life someday. Listen and learn, people."

+++  item  +++
TRAINING

Be advised that Judge-Tutors Ragnall, Anokye and Burgaud will be holding tactical advancement courses from 12H00. A full curriculum is available from Admin.

"Those of you who've signed up for additional training, be advised that we've got some Academy tutors bringing a cadet group to Sector House for their coalface experience. They'll be here for the next seven days and will be available for refresher and advancement tuition."

+++  item  +++
NEW BRIEFING TERMINAL

New model Briefing Terminal Mk. 15A-G released for use in limited Sector Houses. Report any problems to Tech-Div.

"You probably noticed that Tech have come up with another new terminal. These things are supposed to have had the bugs already cleaned out, so when they don't function as intended let Tech-Div know ASAP."

That's all, people. Get to work!
