The Blocks of 142 are named for reasons that only a
kook-cube inmate would appreciate; in fact, it's common theory, amongst
the citizens of 142, that this is where the City Hall Computer, Barney,
routinely canvasses for ideas when a newly built Block is up for naming.
Unorthodox as it may be, this would go a long way to explain why most of the
Sector's housing is named for a variety of psychos, serial killers, criminals
and politicians. The local chapter of the MC˛ (Mega-City Concerned Citizens)
have pointed out that this "unhealthy focus on negative role-models
simply cannot be good for the mental well-being
of the Sector's inhabitants". A
recent petition to rename some of the Blocks to more positive designations
resulted in such a wave of public disorder (that's a riot to you
out-of-towners) that Judges were forced to cube the surviving MC˛'s for their
own protection. The following Blocks have
